Vintage metal axe with new strings in Edinburgh, Midlothian for sale

Music instruments

Features: This is a Vintage Metal Axxe Reaper. It's essentially a copy of a Jackson JS30RR with additional extra's. Mine was made in the U.K. early 2010. It has 24 jumbo frets. I would love to tell you what kinda wood it's made from but I have not a clue :L. Mine is finshed in satin black with pearl white pinstripes around the edges. It can come with either an original Floyd Rose or Tune-O-Matic. Okay, awkward part. It has twin Wilkinson WMSHN pick ups but have been....erm....tapped? Basically it has a 5 way Switch with twin humbuckers. One tone knob, One volume knob. // 10 Sound: This guitar sounds great. I play almost every kind of metal, plus some softer stuff, all of which this plays well in. Granted the shape doesn't always suit the style of music but the sound works. Incredibly clear when clean, and very crunchy when you want it to be. The humbuckers can be used as single coils via the 5 way switch, which I can't really rate as I don't single coils that often. The sustain does literally last forever. I was playing earlier and held a note, sent serveral texts, went on facebook, chatted away than continued 3 mins later with the note still going. I don't have a compresser before anyone asks. // 10 Action, Fit & Finish: The guitar was perfectly set up when recieved. Vintage are the first company I have ever purchased a guitar from that have put a decent set of strings on. There are only 3 flaws. It has a minor dent in the back of the larger fin which was damaged when shipped as there is a dent in the same place in the case. And that it doesn't want to stay in tune. Only marginally though but enough to sound wrong. But this is probably down to the fact its new. And the stupid location of the jack socket means you CANNOT play sitting down, not even with your leg between the fins. // 7 Reliability & Durability: This guitar would be able to withstand being played live. The hardware is flawless except the funny tuners. The strap buttons are quite large so the strap wont come off. The finish is reasonably thick so I doubt it will come off easily. I would definetely use it without a back up. // 9 Impression: Overall this guitar is great. It suits various styles of music, despite its shape. And due to it's thin neck it can be played at speed without a problem. If it was stolen I'd definetely buy another. Pro's - Great guitar, very versatile. Con's - Stupid location for a jack socket. // 8
